Danze & Blood Architects is an award winning, full service architectural firm based in Austin, Texas that has experience with a range of diverse projects, including commercial, educational, religious, master planning and residential work. These projects encompass a range of sizes, types, and scales, and were commissioned by both public institutions and private entities. Elizabeth and John approach each project with a flexibility that addresses and enhances its specific needs, always working in the interest of attaining the client’s objectives and goals.

Elizabeth Danze, FAIA and John Blood, FAIA established Danze and Blood Architects in 1991 after separate careers with distinguished architectural firms, where they completed a wide variety of significant projects. Both Elizabeth and John earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University. In addition to their practice, both are faculty members at the University of Texas at Austin and have taught regularly at Yale University.

John and Elizabeth also practice design in film and video projects and have ongoing research projects exploring the connection between psychology and architecture.
