Join UT School of Architecture faculty members David Heymann, FAIA, and Matt Fajkus, AIA, for a conversation about the potential roles of physical models in the architectural design process, including for internal review and critique, as well as for presentation to others. 1 LU for registered attendees.

A closing reception for 3x5x7 will follow. This event and offers an opportunity for a final look at the exhibition and for final bids on the exhibition auction! About the presenters:


David Heymann, FAIA is an architect, writer, and the Harwell Hamilton Harris Regents Professor in Architecture at the University of Texas in Austin. The focus of his work is the complex relationship of constructions and landscapes. Heymann's architectural work has been widely published and recognized with design honors, including selection for Emerging Voices by the Architecture League of New York. Heymann is a contributing writer for Places Journal, and author of My Beautiful City Austin, about architects' complicity in destroying landscapes.

 


Matt Fajkus, AIA holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, as well as the Director of UT’s Sustainable Design Program. Fajkus is also the Founding Principal Architect of MF Architecture, a nationally-awarded practice based in Austin.
