"Mid-Century for the 21st Century" Returns to AIA Austin

FREE

Mid Tex Mod is excited to present the fourth installment of its popular "Mid-Century for the 21st Century: Residential Case Studies" series in partnership with AIA Austin! The program will feature two recently-completed rehabs of mid-century homes designed by award-winning architect and longtime UT School of Architecture professor Roland Gommel Roessner, FAIA (1911-2001). Interior designer Trisha Shepard will discuss her very personal, painstaking renovation of the 1955 Pohl House for her own family, and lauded preservation architect Emily Little, FAIA will present Clayton & Little's renovation of the 1956 Thorne House. Both will discuss the challenges faced, and solutions found, while remaking these iconic homes for present-day use while preserving the original design features and character that make them so important. As always, this free program will cap off with an audience Q/A.

Space is limited! Reserve yours at rsvp@aiaaustin.org.
