Daniel S. Hart, FAIA, PE - Principal, Director of Higher Education Practice - will be speaking on how design thinking makes architects highly distinctive, valuable, and critical to our preferred future.

Dan is a Firm Principal and Director of Higher Education Practice for his firm Parkhill, Smith & Cooper. He serves on the board of directors of the 320-person firm founded in West Texas. As a dedicated advocate for the profession, Dan has served as President of the Texas Society of Architects, Moderator of The American Institute of Architects Strategic Council (the Institute’s national think tank), and in numerous other capacities advancing architecture. Both architect and engineer, Dan was an adjunct instructor of architectural engineering at Texas Tech University. Dan has served as chair of the Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series, a trustee on the Board of Trinity School of Midland and currently is a trustee on the Board of Shreiner University.
