Two case studies of a mundane building type elevated to something higher. In the case of the parking structures designed by Elliott + Associates, for the Chesapeake Energy Corporation in Oklahoma City, the structure becomes functional art and a destination. For the parking garage for T3 here in Austin, designed by Danze Blood Architects, the award-winning structure is functional and beautiful as well as sustainable, with water collection and living green walls.
