Designing a Collaborative Approach: Client, Context, Architect and Builder

The CRAN Tour on June 6th will feature a home designed by:

Architect: Clark Richardson Architects
General Contractor: Risher Martin Fine Homes
Lunch Sponsor: McCoy's Building Supply

From the architect:

"Not knowing where they would build in Austin, the clients knew who they wanted on their Design and Construction team from the start. The owners, one of whom is an interior designer, hired Clark Richardson Architects and Risher Martin Fine Homes while shopping for a property for their new forever home. We looked at several properties together and discussed how the scale and design would be different at each location based on constructability, design and context. The collaborative approach worked through site selection, home design, city meetings, permitting and now through construction. The selected site, in Tarrytown brought with it a context of smaller cottages and larger new homes nestled within the beautiful Oak Trees. Learn about how an early collaborative process lead to smooth design and construction process for all parties involved."

Note: Because of overwhelming response to CRAN tour offerings, we have had to make some slight changes to accomodate larger crowds. We will now be asking each attendee to register separately, and have disabled the "guest" function in the registration form. The fee for each attendee will be $10, regardless of request for CE credit. Thank you for your understanding as we accomodate immense growth at AIA Austin and continue to offer relevant and informative programming!

The Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) is a resource for those that practice residential architecture. Montly meetings usually consist of a project tour, continuing education, and lunch. Our meetings and events are open to everyone, and we invite you to become more involved with CRAN.
