This month's CRAN meeting will be a panel discussion about residential renovation design and permitting in Austin, featuring local firm principles Erica Heroy, AIA;  Davey McEathron, AIA;  and J.C. Schmeil, AIA.

Learning Objectives
As a result of this course, attendees will:
1) Understand who makes a great team for renovation success - architects and the necessary consultants
2) Understand design opportunities and challenges within the City building codes
3) Understand and explain to clients the reasons for renovation over new construction; for example historical consideration, neighborhood continuity, construction costs
4) Understand the City of Austin permitting process, along with loopholes and pitfalls
