AIA Austin Committee On The Environment (COTE) typically meets the first Thursday of each month. The November meeting will be our end-of-year celebration! As autumn gives way to winter, we'll be gathering via Zoom in cozy fashion to debrief our year and talk about all that we're grateful for. Kendall and I have been so impressed with the resilience of the Austin COTE and we're looking forward to all the great work we'll do with our subcommittees next year (and hopefully get to meet in person again when this pandemic settles down). We'd like to give everyone a nice and welcome break from our usual meeting time in December so let's gather Nov. 5 with your favorite seasonal beverage (let's face it, we all could use a toddy after the stressful election season) and share time together appreciating what we accomplished together in 2020.

About COTE

The committee reflects the profession's commitment to provide healthy and safe environments for people, and is dedicated to preserving the earth's capability of sustaining a shared high quality of life. COTE's mission is to lead and coordinate the profession's involvement in environmental and energy-related issues, and promote the role of the related issues and promote the role of the architect as a leader in preserving and protecting the planet and its living systems.
