The Importance of Solar Design
Presented by Circular Energy Founder and President, JC Shore

CEU: 1 LU/HSW/SD and 1 GBCI
When: Monday June 11th, Noon-1pm
Where: Center for Architecture, 801 W 12th Street

As the solar industry continues to mature, most of the focus revolves around technological innovation and manufacturing efficiencies.  However, design is quickly becoming a vital component in the integration of solar on commercial and residential structures.  Regardless of whether you’re dealing with a solar retrofit or proactively integrating solar PV during construction, a proper design can have significant effects on production, appearance, and most importantly, cost.  This course will provide architects with a foundation of knowledge specific to the design of a solar PV system so that they are able to respond to their clients effectively and immediately.

Founder and President of Circular Energy, JC Shore, originally launched Circular Energy with the goal of filling a local need in Central Texas of providing commercial and residential clients with a more professional and more responsive alternative to their solar installation needs. After proving success in the original plan, he and the team began to identify a more compelling planning and design need across the national landscape. Today, he's leading the organization as it meets the needs of both the existing market and the rapidly growing design channel. Prior to Circular Energy, JC invested over 15 years helping to build and grow other organizations, serving as VP of Sales for Amdocs, a $5B publicly-traded Enterprise Software company, West Coast Managing Partner of BusinessEdge Solutions, a boutique consulting company later acquired by EMC, and consulting roles for nearly six years at both Accenture and Ernst & Young upon graduating from the University of Texas with Honors in his undergraduate Finance studies.
