The Architect's Role in Moving Towards a Climate Resilient Austin

Zak Baumer, Climate Program Manager for the City's Office of Sustainability, will present the City of Austin's Resiliency Resolution and findings about how climate change will affect Austin and Central Texas.  The presentation will provide a background on the implementation and the relationship the Resiliency ordinance has with the City of Austin's Climate Protection Plan.  Participants will learn how the city plans to proactively take steps as a best managed city and become more resilient to climate change.
