Curtain Wall Glazing Basics

Join BEC: Austin for this month's presentation by Trevor Brown, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Quality Manager of JE Dunn Construction. We will discuss curtain wall glazing basics, including stick/ unitized systems, fabrication and installation procedures, and mock-up/ laboratory testing processes. 

  1. Participants will be able to understand the performance specification, delegated design requirements, deferred submittals, and testing requirements for Curtain Wall Glazing.
  2. Participants will understand curtain wall basics, types of curtain wall, and common terms.
  3. Participants will learn the basic process for stick and unitized curtain wall glazing installation.
  4. Participants will understand the mock-up design process and testing differences between laboratory, mock-up, and field testing.
