A Case Study in Delivering Affordable High-Performance Buildings

This course lead by Paul Brown, President of Bautex Systems, Inc., is a case study that describes how owner requirements for an affordable high performance building were achieved using an insulated concrete block wall system.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand owner project requirements for healthy indoor environment, quiet and secure spaces, and low cost of operation and maintenance
  2. Describe specific structural and building envelope designs and related details used in construction of a case study building
  3. Review construction sequencing for a case study building and the integration with other building systems
  4. Identify design details and building attributes that drive health, safety, comfort, resiliency, and energy efficiency for a case study building
