Join us as we welcome Matthew P. Carlton, PE of Wiss Janney Elstner Associates Inc to discuss fundamentals of window systems used in institutional construction, including their integration with building air/weather barriers and cladding systems.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn how different types of window and curtain wall systems are designed and are intended to funtion.
  2. Learn different strategies for integrating windows and curtain walls with surrounding air and weather barrier systems.
  3. Learn how essential requirements for construction documents with respect to windows and curtain walls.
  4. Learn how construction-period contract requirements can encourage proper coordination and sequencing of the different building components involved in installation and flashing of windows.
