Brick on Buildings:  E Pluribus Unum

Case study of St Edwards University's Residence Hall designed by Pritzker Prize winner Alejandro Aravena and developed by Cotera+Reed Architects, concentrating on the uses of brick in the design.

Learning Objectives: 
1) This course will create awareness of alternative methods of using brick as a veneer.
2) THis course will create awareness of alternative sources for bricks.
3) Participants will learn durable brick flashing details.
4) Participants will learn strategies for designing control joints, expansion joints, and veneer anchors to promote durability and performance of the wall assemblies.
