Family Workshops are a great way for parents and children to learn about architecture together. In February, join us as we learn about design thinking strategies, generating creative ideas when you don’t have much information and how to push through problem areas of concept and construction.

Each student will be given a client and develop a design for a house. Students will experience the design process in this hands-on maker workshop as we imagine, plan, and build original spaces from the architect’s point of view using a wide variety of materials that spark the imagination. We’ll learn how a design is affected by “wicked” problems such as inadequate housing and environmental health through the interactive process of character creation, storytelling and model making.

Our guest teacher for this February Workshop is Phyllis Henderson with Wicked Workshop. Learn more about her programs here.
