Planning Committee Application

 

Thank you for your interest in being considered as a candidate for the AIA Austin Leadership Collective Planning Committee. All individuals interested in serving on the committee are asked to submit information about their background and experience to assist in the review process.

 

An AIA Committee of 8-12 members will be responsible for the development and execution of the Leadership Collective 2018 program. Each committee member will arrange logistics, work with consultants to develop content, and serve as a liaison to speakers for an individual program session. Co-chairs will coordinate with the committee members and consultants to ensure cohesive transitions between sessions and that the overarching goals of the program are met. Committee members will be selected to provide a deep, diverse knowledge base. Following the first year, Leadership Collective alumni will be encouraged to serve on the Planning Committee to build upon lessons learned and encourage improvement annually.

 

Co-chairs and a professional consultant have developed the program calendar and preliminary curriculum topics. The leadership consultant and resources will be available to facilitate program development.  Leadership Collective Planning Committee members would ideally be mid-career professionals with leadership expertise or early professionals with curiosity in developing expertise in a particular leadership topic.

 

The anticipated time commitment to develop content is approximately 15-20 hours, including a 2-3 hour group work session with a leadership consultant.
