Design Talks

Design Talks comprises five presentations each year featuring special guest speakers relevant to the architecture and design profession. These events will be taking place virtually via Zoom from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, while we continue socially distanced programming due to the pandemic. 
Design Talks offer 1 LU of continuing education credit for registered attendees, and are also free and open to the public.

Programming includes AIA Austin business items, as well as speakers of interest to members and guests. Past speakers and topics have been: Evan Smith of the Texas Tribune; Ryan Robinson, City Demographer; UT School of Medicine; Imagine Austin Plan; Waller Creek Design Competition; Lucia Athens, Chief Sustainabililty Officer at the City of Austin; Capital Studios; Alan Graham with Mobile Loaves & Fishes Community First!
