AIA Continuing Education Requirements AIA measures continuing education in learning units (LUs). One hour of continuing education earns one LU. As of 2011, AIA Architect members are required to complete 18 LUs each calendar year. Of those 18 LUs, 12 must be in Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) topics.

AIA Austin holds numerous events that help members meet their registration requirements. Please visit the Calendar for upcoming events.

We have also produced two on-demand continuing education courses; additional curated courses are coming soon. Try AIA Austin On-Demand

AIA members can learn more about CE requirements, explore Knowledge Communities, find a job, view their official transcript, and more at the AIA Career Center.
