AIA Austin 2010 Summer Conference

I'm very excited about  our education line up this year.  We're happy to bring Keynote Speakers, Kathy Zarsky, Associate AIA of HOLO who on Thursday will present Learning About Biomimicry and introduction to biomimicry as a sensible, eco-friendly approach to design; and, on Friday, Hugh Hochberg of The Coxe Group in Seattle who will present Change or Die! An exploration of the direction of practice and the factors and trends that will influence it.

There are many Sustainable Design classes to help fulfill your requirements, and ADA classes by Jeromy Murphy, AIA with American Construction Investigations, Ltd. (he was a big hit last year!), and we'll wind up the day on Friday with an exciting and stimulating workshop on marketing your firm in this "very special" marketplace.    From lighting to fair housing essentials; from strategies for transition and succession in your firm to a panel discussion on the relationship of existing and proposed building codes to the aircraft impact on the Eschelon building - the committees of AIA Austin have prepared a stimulating and meaningful selection of classes.
