At CG&S Design Build, Project Managers are responsible for ensuring that project sold into Construction, from our Design Dept, are managed and completed in a collaborative manner that achieves our company’s goal of On-Time, On Budget, On Purpose, and as promised to our clients resulting in “Raving Fans”.  Project Managers are to supervise, lead, plan, execute, and finalize new construction/remodeling projects with detail and constant open communication to CG&S team, subcontractors, vendors, and the Clients. In addition, that this work in completed to the high standards that the company maintains and that all communication necessary to achieve company goal are executed in a timely and professional manner.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintains open, daily communication with field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and the Clients.
  • Safely direct, plan, and manage project from beginning to end through schedules and project meetings. Create schedules and adhere to them throughout the building process
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support construction in collaboration with the Production Manager, Lead Architects & Designers, clients, and field crew
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to clients throughout construction process. Set and continually manage project expectations clearly with client, addressing concerns and questions when necessary
  • Adhere to contracted budgets and estimates. Draft and submit budget proposals, approve invoices, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Manage, create, estimate, and execute Change Orders.
  • Fosters an enthusiastic, creative, "can do" attitude, and shares the responsibility for the Company and overall department success in reaching its goals and helping to develop team.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in residential remodeling and renovations – previous ownership in remodeling business a plus
  • Strong knowledge of framing, field work, permitting and remodeling procedures
  • Competent and proficient understanding of budgets, contracts, procedures, etc.
  • Experience in personnel management and ability to work to a schedule a must
  • Computer and paperwork proficient - Microsoft Office Suite and Buildertrend experience encouraged
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Stable, level-headed, calm attitude especially in stressful environments
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Customer service skills essential
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Expected to be available 10 hours a day
  • Travel to and from multiple projects throughout the week (mileage will be reimbursed)

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
