We are seeking a Quality Control Manager to be part of our Austin office. The ideal candidate would have experience and interest in a wide range of projects including a background in quality control review. 

Responsibilities to include:

  • Oversight of quality control and document review on projects at a variety of scales
  • Coordination with internal project teams
  • Technical leadership in a variety of project types, hospitality experience a plus
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Mentoring and coaching of junior staff
  • Create learning calendar for the staff that focuses on elements of QC education – responsible for managing calendar, securing presenters (both internal and external) and working with Admin team to plan logistics
  • Ability to multi-task & work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Consultant coordination
  • Support for Construction Administration

Education/skills required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • Registered architect
  • 15+ years of experience in design & construction documents for diverse building typologies
  • Knowledge of architectural practice, including design, documentation, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction technologies
  • Experience in quality control review
  • Experience in site feasibility and zoning analysis
  • Deep knowledge of detailing and construction techniques
  • Demonstrable experience assembling and reviewing construction documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM Production, Excel, Google Suite
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work within a team
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency and creative problem solving
  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills
