For this position, we are seeking an inspiring individual with a preferred experience level of 15-20 years to manage and execute quality assurance and quality control efforts within the firm.  Applicants should be problem solvers that are enthusiastic, patient, and driven.  The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with the desire to be in a creative and collaborative office.


  • Perform quality control reviews of contract documents in each phase of project development
  • Provide technical support to staff through consultations on detailing, code compliance, and construction administration
  • Risk management
  • Liaise with firm leadership on technical, design, and sustainability initiatives, and incorporate those into quality assurance and quality control procedures
  • Coordinate with our internal design and sustainability processes
  • Work with Project Managers to establish project-specific quality control budgets, then report on progress
  • Conduct investigations on quality related issues and make quality assurance procedure recommendations
  • Assist in production and construction administration duties on an as-needed basis
  • Contribute to staff training
  • Specification writing and establishment of technical standards


  • Understanding of the International Codes, NFPA 101, ASHRAE 90.1, and Texas Accessibility Standards
  • Understanding of the City of Austin Land Development Code
  • Extensive knowledge of detailing with current construction technologies
  • Ability to communicate via hand sketching
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Commitment to all aspects of sustainability
