O’Connell Architecture specializes in the revitalization of historic buildings through adaptive use, additions, restoration, and material conservation.  Most of our projects are in Central Austin by choice - we love Austin and are dedicated to preserving its history. Our clients are discerning, invested, engaged and energized by the projects that they undertake with our firm. We are, happily, equally enthusiastic and engaged. The buildings can be fairly deteriorated at the start, but they are always beautiful when they are finished. Many of our projects are recognized with awards from Preservation Austin, Preservation Texas, and AIA Austin.
