About you:

As a Project Architect, you have strong design skills, with the ability to communicate high level concepts, and ensure the execution of concepts in to architectural form. You will manage project teams internally, while being able to coordinate between consultants, clients, and government, in order to produce comprehensive and technically sound documentation. You are engaging, self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively with a high degree of autonomy.

Job Brief:

You will be in a management position, being responsible for promoting a positive work culture, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive design environment. Additionally, you will be engaged in business development and client relations, being an ambassador for LSI in the development community.

Our ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience practicing architecture, with ample experience executing commercial projects of varying scales, uses and construction types.
We value strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple project teams as well as manage project efforts, both technically and administratively. It is preferred that you have experience in multi-family and vertical mixed use projects and are intimately familiar with the processes and requirements of those project types. 

Responsibilities:

At LSI a Project Architect will be required to successfully manage budgets, schedules and expectations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Managing multiple design teams concurrently while showcasing strong leadership skills, with the ability to promote positive work culture, and be empathetic to the needs of employees. You will be mentoring junior staff and collaborating closely with other design disciplines at LSI.  
  • Strong understanding of building code, permitting process, and extensive construction administration experience. As well as understanding of construction processes timing and coordination.
  • Lead design efforts through a collaborative process with strong architectural drawing and construction detailing skills.
  • Develop contracts and maintain client expectations and budgets with the ability to forecast project requirements and allocate time and resources accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Registered Architect (Preferred)
  • Professional Degree in Architecture
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience
  • Experience with multi-family and vertical mixed use project types
  • Extensive construction administration experience
  • Extensive understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and materials
  • Ability to communicate high level design concepts, and execute design intent
  • Efficiency in Microsoft office, Adobe Suite, Sketchup
