Full Job Description

Interior Designer – Project Designer

Austin Design Group is an award-winning design firm that has been operating in Austin since in 1983. Our work is focused in and around Austin, but we have projects across the country as well. We offer turnkey residential design services that span everything from building design and finish selections to furnishings and home décor. We specialize in custom home design for both new construction and renovation, and we also partner with some of our build teams on high-end speculative homes.

We are looking for a registered interior design professional to join our team. This role will primarily focus on hard finish selections but will overlap with soft finishes on occasion and depending upon the candidate’s interest in furniture and décor. A great candidate is an experienced project designer with high energy who is resourceful and ready to jump into a fast-paced environment. He/she must have a positive attitude and work well both independently and collaboratively with clients and our team.

Our work environment is easy going and casual and our team dynamic is collaborative, informal, and loosely organized. We are growing rapidly and changing our processes to keep pace. The successful candidate will be able to accommodate different communication styles and offer suggestions for process improvement while also being able to adapt to processes adopted by the team. This Project Designer will lead multiple projects simultaneously as well as supporting teammates as needed. Austin Design Group designs homes that meet our client’s taste, not our own.
