Estimator / Construction Coordinator

We are seeking to add a team member that shares our values and will be an active participant in our company’s long term success. The ideal candidate shares our love of building and places a high priority on accuracy. The primary focus of this position will be cost estimating and documentation management. Additionally, in the role of Construction Coordinator, this positon works collaboratively with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors and Suppliers to support a seamless building process from beginning to end.


  • Estimating
    • Develop preliminary project budgets and cost studies in support of pre‐construction services
    • Develop project specific scope clarifications and supplemental specifications as required to facilitate accurate pricing and comprehensive subcontractor proposals
    • Develop final construction budgets prior to the start of construction
    • During the course of construction, develop estimates for client requested scope changes and additions
    • Analyze data from past projects and maintain a historical cost database to facilitate projecting market costs for ongoing and future projects
  • Project Documentation
    • Ensure standardized processes are consistently utilized by all members of our company to manage construction documentation including, plans, ASI’s, SK,s RFI’s, submittals, selections, CO’s, 3rd party inspection reports, construction photo documentation, etc.
    • Train and direct users in the day‐to‐day document management functions
  • Safety program management
    • Collaborate with third party safety consultant to promote safety compliance throughout our operations (including coordinating regular site inspections and safety training)
    • Ensure documentation of any necessary corrections found during inspections
    • Ensure safety documentation is up to date and in compliance (Safety Binders, MSDS, etc)
  • Equipment management (location tracking, maintenance, routing, selling/purchasing)
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with material procurement and scheduling

Minimum requirements

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • Industry technical knowledge
  • Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications to understand design intent
  • Proficient in email management, cloud‐based file management, Microsoft Excel and Project
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Procore software a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Detail‐orientated with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Efficient in management of time and resources
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver excellent results
  • Punctual with an outstanding work ethic
