CTA in a nutshell:

CTA was founded 80 years ago on a tin-cup whiskey toast and the promise of an integrated and collaborative design approach. Since the beginning, our architects and engineers have combined intellectual forces to carry out one, simple mission: devise thoughtful and efficient design solutions for our clients.

Ready to create with us?

Marketing at CTA:

The marketing team is the face of our firm. We’re looking for a spirited Commercial Marketing Coordinator who can help tell our story, preferably for our Austin, TX office but we’re also open to the right skill-set for our Seattle, WA or Denver, CO offices.

As the Commercial coordinator, you’ll be handling proposal pursuits, creative marketing collateral, and event planning. In addition, we’ll need you to stay on top of the nuts and bolts like qualification packets, personnel resumes, and project narratives to ensure materials are current and aligned with our set standards. You’ll also be trusted to take the lead on awareness efforts specific to the commercial market, including but not limited to the development of press releases, trade press articles, and award submittals, as well as the creation of social media and thought leadership content. You will be the main point of contact for everything “commercial” that leaves our doors, which means regular collaboration with the graphic design team and spearheading the research and record keeping for the market as a whole (think tracking meetings and organizing the archives).

The Commercial market works with a number of high profile clients, so your attention to detail and forward-thinking character will be critical to keeping us competitive.

As a Marketing Coordinator you…

  • Lead the development, organization, production, and tracking of proposals and other marketing materials, acting as researcher, author, and project manager – sometimes this may mean jumping into InDesign to handle layouts or revisions
  • Evaluate technical content to ensure it satisfies the RFP/RFQ requirements and turn it into something beautiful and digestible for submittal
  • Act as journalist within the market, asking questions and building content in support of TOFU awareness and consideration phases
  • Conduct market and trend research using a variety of sources including our internal database as well as industry news sources, and share established opportunities with Commercial market leadership
  • Can write both creatively and technically and are able to switch comfortably between the two at a moment’s notice
  • Assist with the development of the vertical market strategy, and track and report performance on a quarterly basis
  • Nourish and track client relationships using our CRM and a variety of creative touchpoints (e.g. commercial market newsletter or appreciation gifts)
  • Document and attend trade shows, speaking engagements, and networking opportunities to promote CTA’s portfolio, boost overall visibility, and generate leads

You’ll be a great fit if you…

  • Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, or Communications
  • Have 2-3 years of marketing experience, preferably in a content marketing capacity or in the professional services environment
  • Are comfortable working “regular” business hours with the occasional need to put in some overtime
  • Are proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign)
  • Know and love the CRM, particularly Deltek Vision
  • Have a passion for and familiarity with contemporary architecture and design
  • Can work just as well independently as you can with a team
  • Enjoy a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Are detail oriented and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Always get called upon for your grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and editing knowledge
  • Have been praised by past supervisors for your time management skills
