Altura Solutions, founded in 2006 in Austin, Texas, is a consulting firm specializing in Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessibility compliance.  The firm has traditionally worked in Texas but has shifted to a nation-wide focus and is currently working across the country.

The firm is looking for an ADA Project Manager who will be responsible for the daily professional coordination and management of the consulting services provided by the firm.  The candidate will be groomed to become a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) and ADA Consultant.

Key Responsibilities for the ADA Project Manager

The position serves as the primary point of coordination on a variety of accessibility activities and projects to ensure deliverables fall within schedule and budget. This role must work cross-functionally as needed to identify and follow-up on deliverables to ensure that the client, team members, contractors, vendors, etc. are meeting milestones.

Duties include:

  • Create, analyze, and maintain project schedules and budgets in association with defined scopes of work to remove city-wide architectural barriers to accessibility
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Establish, maintain, and manage the relationship with various clients and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Provide timely responses and proactive solutions to client’s needs.
  • Assist with on-site inspections (buildings, parks, sidewalks, trails, etc.)
  • Generate technical reports of findings
  • Draft technical presentations
  • Attend client meetings

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Integrity and a strong commitment to accessibility
  • A bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • 3 years of proven experience as a project manager or coordinator preferably in Accessibility, Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or related fields
