IH-35 Corridor Tunnels and Alternates

Our September topic included future transportation options along the IH-35 corridor.  Comparisons and alternatives included a sunken roadway section, a tunnel, and a boulevard.  Particularly of note was the discussion on rail—on the surface, within a tunnel, or along other corridors altogether. 

AIA Austin to host TRANSPORTATION BOND FORUM - October 12th

Stay tuned for more information and set aside some time on the evening of October 12 to join a conversation with fellow AIA members regarding the formation of AIA Austin's Position Statement regarding the City of Austin's upcoming Mobility Bond on the November 2nd Election Ballot.  Forum to be held at the Center for Architecture at 6:00.

Austin Comp Plan Vision Update - Get Ready for the Next Round of Meetings in October

 With the next round of the Comp Plan, Community Forum Series #3, right around the corner, our members should familiarize themselves with adopted Vision of the Comp Plan as approved by Council in August.  Our input at the Community Forum Series, as in earlier efforts, can assist the development of defined paths to achieve this vision.  Please take a moment (or two) to read through the "lengthy" vision.
