AIA Austin 2010 Summer Conference


I'm very excited about  our education line up this year.  We're happy to bring Keynote Speakers, Kathy Zarsky, Associate AIA of HOLO who on Thursday will present Learning About Biomimicry and introduction to biomimicry as a sensible, eco-friendly approach to design; and, on Friday, Hugh Hochberg of The Coxe Group in Seattle who will present Change or Die! An exploration of the direction of practice and the factors and trends that will influence it.

2010 HousingWorks - All Kinds of Homes in All Parts of Town

Coming in June is Housing Works' Affordable Housing Tour.  Be sure to check out their website for event information.  Last year's after tour networking event at the Long Center was especially successful.

Custom Residential Architects Network

CRAN meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the Austin Center for Architecture located at 12th Street and West Avenue.  The meeting times are usually 11:30-1:30 unless notified otherwise.

CRAN is actively engaged with City of Austin staff to keep updated  as to zoning and building code changes.

The Custom Residential Architects Network Committee is a resourace for those that practice residential architecture.  Special programs and continuing education is provided at each meeting.
