CodeNEXT working groups underway!

The City’s Code Advisory Group has a very short timeframe to compare specific Imagine Austin Policy objectives with existing code and make recommendations. Topics include:
Housing Affordability – “Missing Middle” Housing – Small Business Experience

The Advisory Group will need background data in order to make decisions.

CodeNEXT arrives at City Council!

City Council has a decision to make this month.  Let's encourage City Council to authorize the CodeNEXT teams to continue into a workshop phase where interdisciplinary teams infuse our adopted Image Austin priorities into all layers of the code and regulatory framework.  We cannot ignore the urgency of growth that, in the absence of a healthy regulatory system, threatens to apply destabilizing pressures on our community.

CodeNEXT September Engagement

We have arrived at a pivotol season for CodeNEXT, where you can help educate our members, the public, and City council regarding the path forward.   Check out the public meeting this Thursday for an unveiling of three approaches to the Land Development Code, and then plug in at our member roundtables and committee meetings later this month.
