This presentation addresses the proper application of crack control measures into concrete masonry wall systems as presented in NCMA TEK 10-2B Control Joints for Concrete Masonry Walls - Empirical Method. Most of the principles, statements, tables, and illustrations are taken directly from that TEK.

Event Lunch & Learn - Tubular Daylighting Devices

This course provides an introduction to the increasingly important topic of daylighting, and to tubular daylighting devices (TDDs), which are an effective means of achieving daylighting objectives. We begin with an overview of what daylighting is and its role in sustainable design, review its benefits and challenges, and explain how TDDs fit into traditional daylighting strategies. An overview of developments within the TDD field is followed by an animated graphic that describes and depicts each of a TDD's functional components.
