Systems which combine sheathing with air/weather barriers have been commercially available for the last several years. What advantages do they have over independent, separately applied systems? What drawbacks do they have? A panel of manufacturer representatives and a contractor with installation experience will discuss these systems.

Event CodeNEXT Code Reading Party

The draft of Austin’s new Land Development Code is here, which will significantly change how we all perform our work. To better understand its impacts, we will conduct a deep dive into specific sections of the code to identify what changes are being proposed. We will also review the newly released draft zoning maps to understand how the proposed code is implemented. Please come out and join us for the CodeNEXT Reading Party and make your voice heard! The Homes Tour provides the community with examples of quality architecture designed by registered architects and members of AIA Austin. The annual Homes Tour is an important non-dues revenue source for the chapter. 2017 is the 31st anniversary of the Tour!
