AIA DESIGN VOICE enables the greater design community to connect and collaborate with organizations and individuals interested in and engaged in housing advocacy, development and community building in Austin.

Currently, we are in the process of developing tools that allow us to connect volunteers with organizations who can benefit from the assistance of architects and the greater design community.  It is our goal to make the process and experience of volunteering effective and enjoyable – we hope to be the mediating link between the giving and receiving parties.

Event UDGA Committee Meeting

The Urban Design & Government Affairs committee functions as an AIA Austin committee for those interested in Central Texas regional planning and urban design issues.  The Government Affairs committee actively monitors and participates in legislative and regulatory processes that affect the practice of architecture. 

The committee meets on the last Wednesday of each month at 11:45am.

Event Luncheon Speaker Series

The Luncheon Speaker Series takes place bi-monthly and includes chapter business and continuing education programming.

This month's topic will focus on Advocacy in Schools.

Advocacy in Schools:  Architects shaping our future through mentor programs in Austin's schools.  This will be a panel discussion with several AISD principals.
