A Tale of Two Mock-Ups: The Process

Join BEC: Austin for this special presentation by Trevor Brown, Senior Quality Manager for JE Dunn Construction.
He will be discussing the lessons learned from the exterior mock-up process based on local project examples.
Mr. Brown has 20 years of experience as a Quality Control Professional, holds LEED AP BD+C Accreditation, and multiple ICC and NICET Certifications.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the benefits and drawbacks of doing performance mock-ups over aesthetic ones, as well as separate field mock-ups versus in situ.
2. Understand the challenges of balancing the owner's expectations based on the projects specified materials and their performance abilities.
3. Understand what is involved in the process of determining what is desired and what is realistic to include in the mock-up, including the types of testing.
4. Understand what is entailed in testing the mock-up and the process for remedying and retesting.
