| Executive Committee |
|
Executive Committee actively oversees the day-to-day management of the AIA Austin Chapter. This committee is not open to non members.

Monthly Programs Committee
|
|
The Monthly Program Committee works to develop and plan monthly Chapter meetings (Luncheon Series, Building Tours, etc.)
|
| Architecture for Health Committee |
|
The Committee's aim is to develop knowledge and information to benefit Architects, Owners, Contractors and Consultants who are engaged or interested in the design and construction of healthcare facilities.

| Urban Design/Government Affairs Committee |
|
The committee functions as a stand-alone AIA Austin Committee for those interested in Central Texas regional planning and urban design issues. The Government Affairs committee actively monitors and participates in legislative and regulatory processes that affect the practice of architecture. Communications Committee
|
|
This committees mission is to encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of AIA Austin's website, newsletter and other forms of communication; to develop and implement policies dealing with dissemination of information by AIA Austin online and through other media; and to assist AIA Austin's staff with information technology issues.

| Golf Tournament |
|
Austin Foundation for Architecture (AFA) and AIA Austin plan and produce a golf tournament to benefit the AFA.

| Homes Tour |
|
The Homes Tour provides the community with examples of quality architecture provided by registered architects and members of AIA Austin. The annual Homes Tour is an important non-dues revenue source for the Chapter. Committee meetings take place the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:45pm.

Membership Development Committee
|
|
The committee works to recruit new members and suggest programs/services which will benefit members. It also works to develop and maintain those methods by which the Chapter communicates with Members and the public.

| Design Award/Awards Gala Committee |
|
This committee provides a platform to showcase excellence in design that is produced by AIA Austin architects and selected by a panel of distinguished jurors.
The committee organizes and implements the annual AIA Austin Design Awards Competition and Juror Exhibit. The Gala Committee plans and produces an annual celebration of the accomplishments of the public, its members and allied members as they relate to architecture.

| Emerging Professionals |

The Emerging Professionals Committee is made up of both members and nonmembers to provide an opportunity for discussion and activities pertinent to young architectural professionals as they work toward registration; to encourage continued professional development after registration and to provide a support network for young professionals.

Professional Development Committee
|
|
The committee develops and produces quality learning programs to improve knowledge and competence in the profession (Summer Conference, Continuing Education Seminar, etc).

| Small Firms Roundtable |
|
Members of the AIA Austin Small Firms’ community (generally characterized as having 3 or fewer owners, designing small to medium projects) meet monthly to learn and discuss:
(1) business and technical issues,
(2) advocacy and
(3) camaraderie and business networking.

Design Voice
|
AIA DESIGN VOICE enables the greater design community to connect and collaborate with organizations and individuals interested in and engaged in housing advocacy, development and community building in Austin.
